Being at the forefront of data collection and informational dissemination for one of the most pervasive injuries in rugby requires the Rugby Research and Injury Prevention Group to have a highly developed website to meet their diverse needs. To help assist them with continuing their research and education players and coaches across a variety of continents, the organization needed one convenient place for them to collect and distribute significant injury prevention information.
In order to design and development a website for the Rugby Research and Injury Prevention Group, our team had to consider the user experience and flow for potential viewers across the globe. The far reaching influence of the organization meant that we needed to design a website that was intuitive and easy to navigate for a diverse group of users.
Since the impact of the group’s research is most felt on the sidelines of games and practice facilities across the world, their website needed to provide users with a seamless viewing experience across all browsers and platforms. The frequency with which the target audience would view the site on mobile devices and tablets meant that our team used a responsive focused design method to build the website.
Ensuring that the highly sensitive medical information that was being collected on the site was safely collected and stored was a major priority in the development of this site. Creating a secure environment for data to be collected was only the initial step in reaching HIPAA compliance for the website- we also took additional server-side measures to ensure compliance.
